Nursery is done ... where is the baby?!

We have officially finished the nursery, well, minus one decoration we are still searching for & may give up on. Now it's down to getting the rest of the house totally cleaned up before we have to head to the hospital.

Speaking of the hospital ... yeah, I don't feel any closer so with our due date being a whopping 2 hours away as I type this, the official overdue countdown is now on. I have to remind myself constantly that the original due date was Sept 4 so as not to get too anxious. Anxiety is definitely setting in though. I keep looking at Sam, pointing to the bump & saying "a real live baby will be in our care in a few short days." Hard to imagine. Exciting though.

Soon we'll have a little guy around to coo at, little chubby cheeks to stare at and an adorable smile to make our day. Oh, and diapers, up all nights and crying.

Here are a few pics of the nursery ... many thanks to our wonderful parents who helped us so very much in filling this happy little space =)

Now. Time to get this boy out of his oh so snug temporary home & into his big boy room!

  1. The nursery looks phenomenal!! I can't wait to see it in person. I really did not have any warning signs before going into labor so just take comfort in knowing it can begin in the blink of an eye and then EVERYTHING starts happening so fast including your baby growing up!

  2. That nursery is PIMP! I think that is my favorite one I've ever seen, those stripes are awesome. Can't wait to meet Ryder in person in about a week! Yay!

  4. I really had no warning signs at all before I went into labor either time. With Ben, I went to sleep at 11:30 feeling totally normal and bummed out about my upcoming induction and then I woke up with contractions 30 minutes later! I was at the hospital 7 hours later dialated to a 4. With Joe, I was at Target at 6:30 pm, then all of a sudden in labor. I got to the hospital 4 hours later and was 7 cm! No warning signs or feeling different - so don't fret too much - he will come when he's ready! And it will totally worth the wait!

I LOVE the nursery!!! Love it! Those stripes are awesome. You will have to share how you guys did that - I am amazed. I can't wait to see the little man in there enjoying it!
